Reception Attire at Batu Pahat

This gonna be my favourite entry of all.

My Reception dress by Rico Rinaldi 
Percaya tak masa buat dress ni adalah 4 bulan setengah before my wedding.
Sebab time tuh bila estimate budget alamak macam tak ckup nk tempah dress ngn tailor mahupon designer.
So start survey few boutiques. Memang weekend g butik kawen la test2 baju.
Tapi ada jerh tak kena.
Samada harga sewa baju gila gabeng smpai 1-2k untuk dress jer tuh.
Kalau sewa smpai begituh harga nyerh mmg tak berbaloi la rasanyerh.
Nak buat kat tailor pon cecah RM600.
Masih rasa tak berbaloi sbb tuh harga belum masuk kain.
Nanti campur kain lalalala sure cecah 1k gak.
aihs..so mmg pending n malas nk pk.
Pastuh tak tau design cmner yg aku nak.

Prob is concept kat batu pahat adalah garden. But i tak rasa nak pakai modern since Putrajaya concept dah modern.
So traditional tp i mmg taknak kebaya.
Bila cakap nak pakai dress sopan, mak dah bebel2 takot dress tuh nampak tak senonohla aperla.
Mak kata ni kat kampung nanti orang cakap aper plak padahal dress cmner pon aku taktau. haha.

Tuh yang g Jakel padahal teman mak n adik beli kain dorg, ntah cmner terasa nak beli kain for my reception tanpa discuss dulu ngn husband.
Rilek je beli kain.
Dah beli pening plak nak hantar kat saper n fashion aper nk buat.

Gamble je g Kajang jumpa Rico with my friend since husband i di Arab bekerja time tuh.

Apa yang buat saya terharu sangat2, time tuh appointment kol 5 petang kot.
Sampai2, Rico yang time tuh tengah melayan customer kat meja dia, bangun dan sambut n salam saya di muka pintu and keeps on saying sorry sebab saya kena menunggu jap sebab dia tak habis lagi layan customer.
Wah, bagi saya dats a good sign.

Sebenarnyerh saya takder la kesah sgt nk tunggu pon sbb tak rush nak ke mana2. huhu
So borak2 la ngn assistant dia sambil go tru his portfolio.
Tengok2 eh rupanyerh dia lagi muda dari saya.

Pas setengah jam kot or 20 mins baru la discussion dia ngn customer tuh habis.
n dia suh customer2 tuh salam n say sorry dari saya sbb dorg sampai lambat n terambil slot time saya. Gituhla.
Terkjut gak haha tak sangka walaupon dia tak kenal saper saya tapi dia respect saya smpai tahap cmtuh.
For me, if attitude ok, InsyaAllah everythgs gonna b ok.

Since i roughly dah tau cmner i nk, so i just show him few pics as reference and my sketches as well.
Also i asked for his availability and his opinions on my dress.
Pastuh i asik ckp sorry tau...material i simpleeee ajerhhhh biasalah low budget.
ahahaha i cuma ckp do his best.
N then dia tanyerh budget i baper.

Price dia slightly over my budget but i faham la nama pon designer.
Pastuh dia suh i pk dulu ok or tak.
Then i pk balik, hermssss rasa ok la walaupon lari sket.
Tak byk sgt.
So okla just proceed.

First fitting pon dia yang ingtkan haha sbb i busy giler kat opis.
Bila dtg fitting tros menjerit kesukaan sbb suka padahal time tuh loose lagi. But suka sbb rasa mcm princess habis.
Rasa baju ni confirm mak i suka. Sebab sopan n cantik.
2nd fitting longgar sket bahagian lengan sbb i dah kurus kot but takperla sbb dia ketatkan on the dot tunggu setengah jam cmtuh dah siap dah.

I tak buat veil ngn dia sebab haha again on budget. tight budget la dekat2 wedding.
Ingat nak sewa jer dari sesaper or beli veil murah2 dari mana2 butik.
Gituhla sbb i rasa baju tuh da cantik so i tak perlu worry much about the veil.

Anyway, yeah dia tau i blogger since i mention i knew him tru Adlin hehe.
But for me first impression is always right.
It's really easy deal with Rico.
He is very humble, polite and so kind.

In fact if i knew him from beginning, i should just send all my dresses to him.
You guys should visit his boutique.
Alot of pretty dresses with nice beadings.
Sigh.
For me it's worth every penny.
Cutting pon sedap. sebab tak ketat. Just nice to my body.

Dari awal, mmg dah pk nak sewa jer baju Alip since tengok baju2 kat Azika Collection cantik sangat untuk lelaki, terletak kat badan.
My husband is a bit fussy like me.
Sebab susah sangat nk carik tempat sewa baju lelaki yang kemas, cantik n murah.
Cuma dorg ni kena improve customer servis dorg sket kot.
Ada staff dia yang nama ila tuh baik sangat. Yang lain2 tuh mak aih, sangat la sombong.
So i mmg call ila je. Takder ila ni, malas nk deal ngn lain2.
Sewa pon harga dia sangat affordable compare to the other places.

I pilih color cream sbb senang nanti nak sewa untuk baju Alip sbb cream color common untuk wedding. :p
Alhamdulillah naseb baik color kitorg masuk sangat2.

Again, thanks to Rico Rinaldi yang baik sangat melayan i walaupon i bukan artis. Juga tak pernah cancel our appointment and sabar melayan i especially sbb tolong alter veil akad nikah i yang hampir disaster made by the other designer tuh.

If Rico being able to keep his low profile attitude ni, InsyaAllah I believe he can go really far.
I can see his passion and talents in him.
Tak pelik kalau satu hari nanti dia akan jadi sehebat Rizalman.
Yang penting dia kena jaga kualiti setiap kerja dia.
Seperti mana yang kita tau hasil kerja rizalman sangat halus dan tersendiri kan.

For me Rico akan jumpa style dia sendiri jugak nanti.

My wedding dressmaker 1 - Intro

I have 2 wedding dressmakers for my wed.
1 is super duper GOOD.
Another one is BAD!

So i think the GOOD one deserve an early post review by me. huhu
Anyway thanks so much to Adlin who convince me to meet him.
I couldn't ask for more.
If i've got more money, of course ill ask for more blings on my wed dress.
or if i am celebrity i will just ask for sponsor dress like MEMEY. :p
but im just a blogger so i tried my best to make pity face asking for discounts. ahaha.

Nway i asked him to make my baju raya as well since harga upah dia pon aku rasa ok.
I just ask for baju kurung modern without any detailing since my kain pon dah penuh ngn detailing+patterns.
Nah that's my 1st time wears designer's clothes and i feel so pretty like celebrity during raya.
Not only that i feel like to wear it for my akad nikah ahahaha because it's so damn comfortable only after i ate alot of ketupat+rendangs+lemang+wear spanx baru tersedar yg diri sendiri sedang memakai baju kurung modern fitted.

Tros stop makan dgn byk nyerh.
Ahahaha still im super happy with the quality of my baju raya this year.
No dramas like every year baju tak siapla. baju besarla. cutting tak best. Takder.
While other family members cried over their baju kurung dramas i cant wait to wear mine. huhuhu buruk perangai aku.
In future i will definitely send to him again~~InsyaAllah if ada budget.

Bout the wedding dress, it looks something like this below -  Simple yet pretty just like i hope it to be.

In fact if i able to redo my wed preparations again, i will definitely just send to him all my baju2 kawen since it's so damn easy to work with him!

Baju sanding untuk Batu Pahat

Lama tak update blog kan?
Sigh busy sangat2 di opis.
Opismate siap berpesan, "dun MC on Wednesday ya".
I replied, "If i nak MC, ill MC today(Monday)".
If i ponteng kjr 2minggu ni, mati dorg kena siapkan kjr yg byk since web designer lagi sorg dah resign.
Jd penpahamla kjr yg byk tuh jatuh kat saper.  -_-

Nway, sempena today cuti and mula2 malas nk kuar sbb bf pon masih di Arab n rasanyer lebih enak jika berehat2 di rumah. Tp bila pk balik, after this ill be bz. This weekend nk g kursus kahwin. Weekend depan mungkin balik Batu Pahat sbb ada rakan kawin plus saya mmg nk balek settle kan hal2 kahwin dgn parents.
Jadi sayang nyerh cuti Wesak ini nak disia-siakan begitu sahaja.

Jadi saya pon tekad email sesorg ni if dia reply email saya, maka saya g la hantar kain kahwin saya ni.
Mula2 lagila pk nk g Ampang Park coz a friend of mine recommend me to send to this 1 boutique.
Malang nyer saya tak familiar sangat ngn area Ampang, Cheras ataupon KL.
Area2 yang saya yakin nk drive adalah Bangi, Cyber, Serdang, Kajang boleh la sikit2. Damansara, Kelana Jaya and Shah Alam pon saya takder hal lagi.

Tiba2 sesorang ni reply email saya. Wah! Cepat nyerh respond. n saya cubala nasib if nak buat appointment jumpa petang ni free tak n dia kata pukul 5 ke atas free. Yey!
Ingat nak g sorang2, tp sejak Acid Man still out there and i dun want to take dat risk go out there alone. hihi jd saya pon tanyer la my friend free tak teman saya. Teman saya ni available jugak!
Nampak tak jalan tuh terang jer takder halangan.
Saya pon amek my friend kat serdang n pergi jumpa dia di Kajang.
Takder sesat2 sgt pon senang je jumpa bila dorg bagi instruction sket. Alhamdulillah.
Alip must be proud of me because saya selalu sesat di jalan raya. muahaha

Remember tak sketches of my dress that i promise to show u all?
I always give excuse takder pencil la. Pas jumpa pencil, ee pencil ni tumpul la. Pastuh eh pemadam takder cmner nk sketch. Grrrrr banyak nyerh alasan.
Tp saya boleh melukis dengan mouse. Plus saya rasa saya melukis dan mewarna lebih baik dengan mouse.
Angkat bakul sendirik! Tak tahan. :p
Oklah sebelum saya tunjuk lukisan saya ni, saya nk mintak maap pada Mak saya sbb menipu masa Mother's day.

Mom asked; "Dah hantar baju kahwin?"
and i replied "Dah". padahal belum. Sorry mak. I know u will read this. wuwuu saya takder masa memikirkan pada masa itu.
Then mak tanyerh lagi "Buat fashion aper? Jangan buat singkat2. Buat baju kurung".
Baju kurung? Ish kan nak kawin mak. Mana cool pakai baju kurung. see degil kan saya.
Tp saya tipu lagi. "Jangan risau. rai buat kebaya".

Im sorry mak. takder niat nak tipu. Tp percayalah dengan sedikit taste anak mak ni.:p
I think kebaya suits for any individual yang tinggi n tak berapa sesuai dengan saya. Saya rasa la. Ingat tinggi saya cuma 152 cm.

Ni 2 design yang saya lakar semalam.
Design 1 - with all the small round buttons kat depan yg masih in sekarang.
Design 2 - looks alot like Sue's design.
Ada 2 sebab sbb saya taktau nak pakai veil atau pon tak.
For me if berat kat bawah tak perlukan veil. If bawah tak berat sgt then bolehla pakai veil.

Reason taknak pakai veil: boleh la lari2 kat padang rumput ala2 hindustan masa wed photoshoot outdoor nanti tanpa berat sgt benda kat badan. hehehe.

*Nway for those yang rasa suka dengan design ini jugak, boleh la copy and save design di atas dan tunjuk pada tailor anda. Plus original design tersebut pon bukan dari saya. Saya paham tak semua dari kita mampu untuk hire designer. Apa yang mampu adalah copy sket from here n there. Sharing is caring. If nak saiz drawing besar sikit, email la saya. Tp if nak suruh saya lakarkan design baru untuk anda, maap saya tak dpt sbb imaginasi saya untuk baju adalah terhad tak seperti membuat web. hehe

So.... i think i am too inspired by Sue's wedding dress and the 'person' able to twist da design lil bit. So design ni takla close sangat macam design Sue. Below is the design by him. I like. Masih mengekalkan ciri2 sopan and elegant.

 

Hehe tengok sikit2 dah la. Tunggu outcome masa kahwin nanti baru kita buat review okie~

No la sbb dah survey tempat sewa yg not bad design2 nyerh. Tp if saiz baju tak memberansangkan n if color lari, maka mungkin baju alip pon tempah la jugak. Tp buat baju laki senang je kan kan kan.
Nanti bila dia balik nti boleh la settle kan all those things. InsyaAllah.

Design2 yang i pilih ni semua bercirikan: ala2 vintage and timeless la kununnyerh.

Tehehehe sangat berpuas hati dengan research sendiri. Barulah yakin nak antar kat tailor cmner.

Kain untuk baju sanding - Jakel jahat!

hahaha.
Padahal diri sendiri tak kuat iman.
Ok. actually baju sanding belah batu pahat ingt nak sewa jerh.
Plus dah jumpa pon tempat yang berkenan di hati. Harga sewa pon okie jer.

Tapi dalam hati masih ada ragu2.
Eeee setan ni suka berbisik tau.
Yerla since baju tandang n akad nikah dah tempah so ingt malas la nk buat gak baju sanding side i.
Pelik kan naper bertandang nyerh baju beria nak tempah gak tp baju side sindri taknak tempah.
Herms susah nak explain tp sbnrnyerh cmni.

Belah kl since concept nyerh adalah modern sikit, so i've been falling in luv on this 1 wed dress design since last Nov/December. Dengan tak sabarnyerh terus la menempah.
I hope the person able to execute my dress. Pray hard!

My side nyerh theme pula traditional sket, jadi i plan to wear kebaya.
But i couldn't find any nice kebaya yet.

Prob is im short and lebar. Haha if u guys understand my body type. Tinggi cuma 152cm! huhu
No matter how i try to diet, no matter my weight rite now is 45 kg ker, i will still look short and lebar.
Paham? Because my face shape bulat.
Dari kiri mungkin la nmpak kurus, dari depan sama jer.
I luv to see other brides wears pretty long kebaya but i know it wont suit me.
Until now I still couldn't find any kebaya design that melts my heart.
That's why i give up and rasa nk sewa ajerh.

Other solution is find pretty short kebaya but i saw alot of pengantin kebaya will come with inner corset which sumtimes the corset expose too much.
For me corset ala2 baju dalam.
I dun want to expose it unless i memang jenis freehair.

Last weekend, bila kuar ngn parents g Jakel,
then i g la kawasan lace2 pompuans.
Kunun nak say bye2 pasni takkan lalu kawasan lace mahupon tingkat kain untuk pengantin lagi since hal2 baju hampir settle.
Tp dalam otak ada backup plan if harga lace+lining+chiffon tak lebey dari RMXXX (which is kurang dari harga sewa) maka aku akan beli gak lace tuh and kali ni nak anta kat tailor biasa jerhh.

Padahal selama ni g Jakel sentiasa jerh sale tau tp naper ntah terpedaya dengan hasutan pekerja2 dorg yg ahad lepas is last sale. Next sale will be on july/august.
Ermms.
So i ask the pekerja try mix and match lace ni ngn lining yang sesuai.
Tiba2 dari satu lining jadi 4 lining.
Tiba2 jerh aku dah lilit2 lace tuh kat badan.

Naseb baek test kat badan duk depan cermin.
Coz at the end i rasa color yang sesuai ngn i adalah putih, cream and pink jerh.
Ok la maybe depends on beads and lace nyerh jugak.

Sorryla akibat mahu berjimat, hati, otak n mata hanya focus pada lace biasa2 jerh. :p

Ni lace yang i suka mula2 bila padankan ngn 4 color lining yang berbeza pon still i dun think it looks nice on me.

Da tulis panjang2 tp padam balik setelah dinasihatkan supaya banyak2 bersabar oleh Alip.

 Suka detailing bahagian atas but not the bottom part.
Kalau nk apply untuk si bertudung, just request with long sleeve.

Normally, for casual wears, i like striking and bright colors.
But for wedding, i only believe in soft/pastel colors.

Pics below are pastel colors. Coz my bf dunno wut pastel colors means. hehe.
he always thought when i said pastel means bright pink or bright green. grrr.

Pink for akad nikah outfit. Yes, No?

It was easy to choose color for reception outfit for his side.
But it's damn hard for my side.

As both of us takla gelap sangat takla putih sangat so sebenarnyer any colors pon boleh.
But i dun want to make any quick decision with regret later so better think carefully on this.

From cream to pink to cream and to pink again. Haha.
I think dusty pink make me happier than cream.
He dun mind any colors as long not striking.
So yeah maybe pink for akad nikah. ekekeke.

BUT there's alot of pinks ok. Pening google. Not anyone can wear the color nicely. I want both of us looks nice in pink not only me. So here are some pinks that i like:-

 Alif Ba Ta.
Nama dia start dengan huruf Alif.
Tak sangka dulu baca Alif Ba Ta rupa2nyerh nama bakal suami adalah Alif.
Patutla dulu mak n abah sangka ingatkan da besar saya jd ustazah sbb saya kecik2 adalah seorang yg sangat sopan santun baik dan comel. Dorg yang cakap tak tipu.
Tp perangai sopan santun tuh sekejap jer.
Lepas masuk sekolah pengaruh rakan sebaya, lenyap dah perangai sopan tuh diganti dengan suka rebel.
Rebel tp masih sopan. :p

Abah selalu cakap jangan bagi 100% kat love nanti diri sendiri kecewa.
So i try my best to keep dat in my mind.
Try tak sayang dia 100%.
Daa. kamon. how can u count da percentage of love? hehe.
All i knew is he makes me cry everytime we fight. He makes me laugh with his stupid jokes.
He completes me.

My resolutions for 2011 are - I hope my weight wont exceed 45kg so dat i can looks nice in my wed dress. 2nd - I want to learn new skills. Tak kisahla masak or anythg. Hehe. I got few plans and i hope i will 100% put my effort into it.

When ask him just now what's his resolution, he simply said "I just want to have a wife".
I think dats kinda sweet. n i dun care if he just tease me. I still think it's sweet. :p

This few days Ive been busy meeting few fashion designers.
Yes i have decided to custom made my wedding dresses due to few factors.
but bukan rizalman la of course. biasa2 jerh.
So far i met 4 but i like the 3 of them.
What i like about my bf is he being so supportive to go along with me to meet those designers and really show his interest towards the wedding thgy.
Alhamdulillah semoga dipermudahkan semuanya dan semoga takda drama kat baju2 kahwin ku.
I haven't decide yet. InsyaAllah lagi 2-3 ari i think i able to make decision to choose who.

For me, baju dan makeup adalah penting. Lepas 2 benda ni settle awal, i can concentrate on the others.
Alot of things lately in my mind - pindah rumah, kejer2 freelance, wedding preparations sumtimes i think can i do it all together?

But i think i can as long i put efforts in everything dat i do.
I takkan bagi alasan tak cukup masa sbb saya sangat bertuah waktu ofis yang sangat2 flexible.
Datang kerja pukul 10 balik pukul 6. Kerja manjang tak byk. Boss pulak bukan jenis busybody.
So i think masa bukan penghalang. Yang penting macam mana i use the 24 hours properly.

Wedding is a big thing and cost alot of money too.
Proper plans needed from earlier so dat no big dramas and no tears can ruin da big day.
Just imagine you and your partner join Amazing Race.
Alot of challenges you need to face in order to reach the final destination.
Kena ada sefahaman, communication yang bagus, hormat menghormati dan saling support each other.
Sama2 cari jalan untuk future. Kalau niat kita baik, InsyaAllah Tuhan akan permudahkan jalan tuh. Yang penting berusaha. Jangan harap lelaki jerh nk settle smerk bender2 major.
Sekarang semua benda pon mahal. Apa salah nyer sama2 cari duit. Sementara muda, cuba cari duit lebih sket dengan buat macam2 side business.
